As part of the redevelopment of Telopea Downs Station, Hassad Australia approached ProWay to design fabricate and install custom facilities at Rosedale (sheep yards), Eureka (sheep yards and cattle yards) and Glenalpine Station (sheep yards).
One of the key developments for the individual operations was ProWay’s flexibility to customise a solution specifically for the Awassi breed sheep that are traditionally larger animals.
ProWay Livestock Equipment was asked to assess the existing facilities and prepare a detailed summary of how to improve five existing facilities to ensure that they meet with the company’s core values. ProWay Livestock Equipment conducted an on-site visit and meeting with management of all facilities at Telopea Downs.
Each facility was assessed independently by ProWay stockyard designer Andrew McFarland, for OH&S, stock flow and animal welfare with input from Ross Dickinson and Peter Dixon in terms of what is required in terms of Hassad Australia property management systems.
